About the Haiti Hustle
At the end of the summer in 2014 Dr. David Bejot was inspired to have a 5k race hosted by DEXA for Global Humanity. Our primary initiative was to raise awareness about all of the suffering in Haiti. Dave and I have worked in Haiti for over ten years. It has been an amazing experience. We set out out to pour ourselves into a suffering community and country and in return our cup overflows. We have very limited skillsets. Dr. David Bejot is a very talented optometrist and I am a mechanical engineer. It will never cease to amaze me how many wonderful people have come into our lives with the skillsets needed to help us.
I want to personally thank every single person who has helped us, supported us and have engaged with us. If you have signed up for this race today, thank you so very much. If you want to know more, please contact us. We don’t know what tomorrow holds, but we know who holds it.
Sincerely,
Eric R. Messer
